Allgemeines
Die World Guppy Accociation (WGA) ist ein Verband aus Züchtern und Vereinen der sich die weltweite Förderung der Guppyhochzucht zum Ziel gesetzt hat. Beginnend im Jahre 1996 in Osaka, Japan, wird der World Guppy Contest (WGC) jedes Jahr in einer anderen Region der Welt abgehalten.
Der WORLD GUPPY CONTEST wird jährlich veranstaltet. Die drei Haupt-Guppy-Regionen sind Asien, Amerika und Europa sind abwechselnd Gastgeber dieses Events. Heuer hat die Österreichische Guppy Gesellschaft die Ehre diese Ausstellung in Wien zu organisieren.
Es gibt mehrere Gründe, einen solchen Wettbewerb zu veranstalten. Erstens Freundschaft : eine großartige Gelegenheit, neue Freunde und Züchter kennenzulernen, und die bestehende Freundschaften, die die gleiche Leidenschaft für die Guppyzucht hegen, zu vertiefen. Dies ist eine großartige Möglichkeit, um ein weltweites Netzwerk von Guppy -Enthusiasten aufzubauen und zu pflegen. Zweitens, erleichtert es das Finden und den Austausch von Zuchtmaterial! Es gibt dadurch die Chance, neue Quellen, die sonst nicht verfügbar sein könnten, zu erschließen.
Der World Guppy Contest hat es zum Ziel, die weltweite Vielfalt des Guppys zu zeigen indem die besten Züchter weltweit einmal jährlich zusammen treffen. Die Bewertung in dieser länderübergreifenden Show ist zwar wichtig, jedoch ist es nicht der einzige Aspect dieser Veranstaltung.

The World Guppy Association (WGA) is an affiliation of breeders and clubs that has the goal to promote the hobby of Guppy breeding in the world.
Starting in 1996 in Osaka, Japan, the World Guppy Contest (WGC) is held each year in a different region of the world.
The WORLD GUPPY CONTEST is organised every year. The three main regions Asia, America and Europe take it in turns to host the event.
The Austrian Guppy Association has the honor to organize the CONTEST 2016 in Vienna.
There are several reasons to have such a competition. Firstly friendship, a great opportunity to get to know new friends and breeders, and to deepen the relationship with existing friends who hold the same passion for the guppy hobby. This is a great way to build and maintain a worldwide network of Guppy enthustiasts.
Secondly to encourage and facilitate the exchange of breeding material! There is no equal opportunity to obtain new stock that may not be otherwise available.
The primary aim of the World Guppy Contest is to show the fantastic variety and excellence of the guppy by bringing together the best breeders from a world wide hobby. The judging is always important in this transnational show, however it is not the only aspect of the event.
